Nederburg launches Beautiful Lady Gewürztraminer
The maiden vintage of The Beautiful Lady joins the Nederburg gourmet collection of hand-made Heritage Heroes wines. Named after Ilse Graue, the wife of Johann Graue, a German immigrant who bought Nederburg in 1937, the single-vineyard Gewürztraminer returns, after an interval of 15 years.
Cellar master Razvan Macici enjoys it as an aperitif or with fruity curries and fragrant Thai and Indian dishes made with butter or coconut milk, Cantonese and Schezhuan seafood and poultry dishes. "It also makes a great partner to fruit flans. It is available from Nederburg in Paarl for R95 a bottle and from the Vinoteque, fine dining establishments and selected fine wine shops.
