National finalists for 2012 Shoprite Checkers Women of the Year
Yesterday, 4 July 2012, the 2012 Shoprite Checkers Women of the Year Award announced the three finalists in each of the five categories of Socio-Economic Business Developers, Good Neighbours Against Crime, Educators, Youth Movers and Health Care-Givers.
The public is invited to vote for the women who they believe to be the most deserving of winning in the award category. The public vote will account for 30% of the final score although the judges' decision will be final.
Finalists
- Socio-Economic Business Developers Category - Judy Stuart, Nyeleti Mushwana and Virginia Shuku
- Good Neighbours Against Crime Category - Sinikiwe Biyela, Margi Biggs and Judy Govender
- Educators Category - Jane Keen, Nomonde Ntsundwana and Marisa van der Merwe
- Youth Movers Category - Shéri Brynard, Liesel James and Kashveera Chanderjith
- Health Care-Givers Category - Cwengi Myeni, Barbara Rass and Tina Botha
