NEWSWATCH: The Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa (BCCSA) has denied the SABC3's appeal against a finding that the broadcaster contravened the broadcasting code, reports Mail & Guardian.

BCCSA spokesperson Shouneez Martin said the BCCSA found that an appeal tribunal was "not likely to differ from the first judgement" it made regarding a broadcast on 3 November 2010. In the broadcast, businessman Robert Gumede alleged that Mail & Guardian journalist Sam Sole took a bribe and that the newspaper had a racial bias.
