Guptas to bankroll ANC daily
NEWSWATCH: The Gupta Group, which is allegedly already closely aligned with the ANC and Jacob Zuma, and bankrolls Essop Pahad's The Thinker magazine, is now reported to be funding a new daily newspaper, The New Age, which will be 'ANC-sympathetic', according to Business Day.

The new publication, which is apparently due to begin publishing in September, will not be 'affiliated to the ANC', according to Essop Pahad. Some people will say, however, that there's a pretty fair guess that it's quite possible that much of the government's recruiting advertising - and other government and parastatal advertising - is likely to be going to the new publication.
