The hands-on training course, scheduled for Johannesburg between March 22 and 26, will explore whether African radio reporters have a role to play in helping to build dialogue, or whether this conflicts with the role of media as a social watchdog.
Participants will use discussions to sharpen their techniques, and deepen their contextual coverage, particularly of African conflicts. The course is designed for broadcast journalists, but is open to all working journalists, especially those from conflict areas on the continent.
