Responsible Drinking Media Awards continue in 2016

The annual Responsible Drinking Media Awards (RDMAs), one of brandhouse Beverages long-standing initiatives in the drive to combat alcohol abuse, will be continued this year by Diageo, which bought out brandhouse last year.

The RDMAs encourage journalists and media at large to use their various platforms to communicate a responsible drinking message to South Africans. Any published material on any media platform that aims to support this cause, is eligible to enter the awards and win a prize.

2016 will mark the sixth anniversary of the RDMAs and Diageo SA plans to make them an entrenched part of the media calendar in South Africa.

“Our chief objective is to grow these awards year on year and ultimately see extensive media coverage promoting the responsible drinking message. We will be engaging with key-industry partners and meeting with various media houses to ensure that every South African journalist is reached and prompted to personally make a difference,” says Diageo SA MD, Jeff Milliken.
