SABS disa product design award scheme calls for entries
The SABS disa product design awards, presented by the Design Institute, a division of the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) will again align itself with the Export Africa trade exhibition to be held at Gallagher Estate in May next year.
This year 16 product designs mostly from the engineering, mining and machinery categories received awards, as well as innovative medical, homeware and information technology products.
The scheme aims to encourage local product design and manufacture by recognising the achievements of South African designers, while promoting international competitiveness.
Entries should reach the Design Institute no later than 17 February 2006. Visit www.designinstitute.org.za for more information and to download an entry form.
