Seminar brings spring, summer bliss to Cape Town

Design Indaba has announced that a trend union seminar, 'Bliss', will be presented by trends forecaster Li Edelkoort at the Pavilion Conference Centre in Cape Town on Thursday, 29 September 2011 1.30pm-4.30pm.

Edelkoort will present an audio-visual experience that promises to engage on more than one level, looking at summer styles and trends in fashion, décor and lifestyle, general colours and harmonies, a men's colour forecast, a pattern trend portfolio, DIY trends in mohair and more.

She will explore the major movements that will characterise the next couple of months. What are we wearing? How are we socialising? And how are we relating to the world around us in a time when a renewed respect for the natural world is crucial?

Understanding the complexities of life today, Edelkoort will also address the human need to simply breathe and live, and the search for new identities. It's about filling life with meaning, and gaining a new respect for the wonder of life and how to go about achieving this through our consumer choices.

This three-hour event starts at 1:30pm on Thursday 29 September and places are limited. Bookings can be made through Computicket. Tickets are R950.

Ticket information added at 4.58pm on 14 September 2011.
