The Loeries are seeking the best new talent emerging from the region and two recipients will each walk away with a Gold Loerie at the Loeries Festival Weekend, taking place 24 - 27 September in Cape Town. In addition, each winner will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to an international award show.
One of last year's winners, Darren Cronje from Net#work BBDO, is currently in New York at The One Show, while the second winner - Simone Rossum from Joe Public - is scheduled to visit Cannes Lions later this year.
Launched to recognise outstanding achievement by talented individuals at the beginning of their careers, The Young Creatives Award is now in its third year.
''The Loeries are very passionate about developing and nurturing young creative talent, as this ensures the future growth and sustainability of the industry," says The Loeries MD Andrew Human.
Young Creatives, 27 or under, need to submit a portfolio of their professional work from the last three years. All submissions must reach The Loerie Awards no later than 30 June 2009.
The call for entries opened yesterday, Thursday, 14 May 2009. For entry details and further information, go to www.theloerieawards.co.za.
