Loeries deadline extended

The 15 May 2009 deadline for The Loerie Awards 2009 has been extended by another fortnight to 31 May. There will be an additional extension fee for all entries received after 15 May and no further extensions will be given after 31 May.

All physical pieces have to be received by The Loerie Awards by 31 May 31, while the entry forms should be submitted online at www.theloerieawards.co.za and payment received by the same date.

Don't forget that, this year, four new special awards have been introduced, each with a prize for the agency and creative teams:

The New Voice Radio Award - launched by the Loeries in conjunction with the SABC to promote the production of non-English radio advertising.
The Creative Use of Paper Award - in partnership with Sappi, all paper-based entries are automatically eligible for this prize.
Mobile Advertising Award - in partnership with Vodacom Mobile Advertising, this new award recognises the recent growth in the use of mobile devices in the advertising mix.
Internet Advertising Award - Compliments of a secret sponsor, this award promotes creativity using Internet advertising including pop-up windows, banner adverts and interstitial pages.
