BBDO Worldwide top creative network, again
"What a pleasure it is to be part of the most awarded agency network in the world. We set ourselves some very high standards this year and so far, it's all working exceptionally well for us," said Peter Gausis, executive creative director at Berry Bush BBDO.
This award is no stranger to BBDO as this is the second consecutive year and the third time in the five-year history of this report that BBDO has received this award. The BBDO Network prides itself on never having received a placing lower than second.
"Our long-term goal is to continue being the best creative agency network in the world," said Allen Rosenshine, Chairman and CEO, BBDO Worldwide. "This means winning the Gunn Report every year. We realize that to achieve this objective we must continue to grow our centers of creative excellence beyond just a few agencies in the more visible markets. BBDO Worldwide has dominated award shows for the entire year, winning 42 Lions at the Cannes International Advertising Festival, significantly more than any other agency, including the most Lions in print, direct and online media.
"This is very exciting for Berry Bush BBDO to be part of the most creative network in the world and together with our creative points this year, ties in with our stated intent of becoming the most creative agency in the western Cape", Says Martin Neethling, managing director of Berry Bush BBDO.
More recently BBDO Europe won the first ever "Network of the Year" award at the Euro Effies, and Proximity Worldwide, BBDO's global customer relationship and direct marketing network, was the most awarded agency network at the Direct Marketing Association Echo Awards.
BBDO Worldwide is the third largest global agency network, with 302 offices in 76 countries. In 2002, BBDO Worldwide was named "Global Agency of the Year" by Ad Age, Ad Age Global and Adweek magazines, making BBDO the only agency to have received the top honor from every leading trade publication in the same year.
Commenting on the reasons for BBDO's success in 2003, The Gunn Report noted the "depth" of the network. Specifically, agencies from 24 markets contributed award winning work, by far and away more than any other agency network, according to Donald Gunn, founder of the Gun Report.
