The Event Production company to produce awards galas for Eskom and Telkom

The Event Production Company has been appointed to produce the November 2004 banquet and awards ceremony for the annual Eskom eta Awards, made for energy efficiency.

The Event Production Company has also been appointed to co-ordinate the Telkom Journalist of the Year Awards competition (2004), which culminates in awards made at a gala banquet to be held in early 2005. Initiated by Telkom and launched in conjunction with the IAJ (Institute for the Advancement of Journalism) in 2000 to develop and nurture an interest in ICT (Information and Communication Technology) in the media, the competition has established itself as the premier platform where journalists are recognised for their contribution to the sector by an independent panel of judges. Previous winners include accomplished journalists like Toby David Shapshak writing for Mail & Guardian and GQ (in 2002), Marina Bidoli writing for Financial Mail (2001 & 2003) and Nathi Sukazi writing for Business Report in 2000.
