Keep it mobile

Retail World Africa 2015 kicks off at the Sandton Convention Centre tomorrow, so if you haven't registered yet, you'd better hurry! You can still book your free or VIP pass - just click on that colourful block there on the right. There you go. That's the spirit.

In other news this week, on the partnership and acquisition trail, we have Pioneer Foods joining up with Nigeria's Food Concepts to form Food Concepts Pioneer, and the Competition Commission has given its blessing to Steinhoff's Pepkor takeover sans conditions. We'll just have to wait and see what the Tribunal thinks of that.

As the world becomes more upwardly mobile, we'll start seeing more and more mobile transactions being made at the checkout, and brands had better pay attention to Nigeria's mobile-based lifestyle... Here's why...

Have a great week, folks!
