Junior Graphic Designer

A well-established printing and visual communications company in Olivedale is looking for a creative and technically minded Junior Graphic Designer to join its team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a designer who wants to develop their skills in a fast-paced print environment, working on a variety of projects from concept through to finished product.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and preparing artwork for a wide range of litho, digital and large-format print applications, while ensuring that all files are technically correct and print-ready. The successful candidate will be trained on repro and pre-press skills.

Key responsibilities:

• Create artwork and layouts for brochures, flyers, business cards, books, manuals, annual reports, calendars and other marketing collateral.
• Prepare artwork for large-format applications, including banners, posters, pull-up banners, wall graphics and vehicle branding.
• Assist with packaging and specialised print projects.
• Adapt and resize existing artwork for different print formats and specifications.
• Make amendments and artwork corrections efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain brand consistency across multiple projects.
• Work to deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Requirements:

• Graphic design qualification or relevant design training.
• 1–3 years' graphic design experience, preferably within a commercial printing, digital printing, litho, signage or large-format printing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Experience preparing artwork for both digital and lithographic printing.
• Exposure to large-format print, signage or vehicle branding would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of typography, layout, colour and image resolution.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
