Full-time | Retail Advertising & Creative
Location: Sunninghill, Sandton

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Graphic Designer to join our creative team.
This is a hands-on role for a strong designer with at least 6 years of professional graphic design experience, ideally with substantial experience in retail advertising, promotional campaigns and commercial design.
We are looking for someone who can take a brief, develop a strong creative concept and confidently carry it through to polished, production-ready artwork.

What we're looking for:

• Minimum 6 years’ professional graphic design experience – this is essential.
• Strong experience in retail advertising, promotional campaigns or a fast-paced commercial/agency environment.
• An exceptionally strong portfolio demonstrating professional, commercially executed design work.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, with strong working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of layout, typography, visual hierarchy, branding and promotional design.
• Ability to conceptualise and develop original creative solutions independently, rather than relying on AI-generated design.
• Experience taking projects from initial concept and layout through to final, production-ready artwork.
• Excellent attention to detail, including typography, alignment, consistency, image quality and artwork accuracy.
• Ability to work across multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
• Able to interpret a brief, ask the right questions and work with minimal supervision.
• Proactive, accountable and comfortable taking ownership of projects.
• A strong creative thinker who can bring new ideas and visual approaches to a brief.
• Comfortable receiving feedback and making amendments without compromising the quality of the final work.

The role:

You will work on a variety of retail and commercial creative, including promotional campaigns, catalogues, point-of-sale material, in-store advertising, digital campaigns, social media creative, signage and other marketing collateral.
This is not simply an artwork or DTP position. We need someone who can think conceptually, design creatively and execute accurately. You will be expected to manage projects from brief through to final artwork and work closely with the rest of the team to deliver high-quality creative within demanding retail deadlines.

Salary - R25,000 per month – all inclusive

Your portfolio is a key part of the selection process. Please ensure it demonstrates the standard of work you are personally capable of producing, particularly in retail, advertising, promotional or commercial design.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a practical design assessment to demonstrate their creative thinking, layout ability and technical design skills.

This is a senior-level position. Please do not apply if you are a junior designer, recent graduate or do not have the required professional experience.
A minimum of 6 years’ professional graphic design experience is required.
Applications without a professional portfolio, or portfolios that do not demonstrate the level of commercial design experience required for this position, will not be considered.
We are looking for a designer who can conceptualise, create and execute professional work independently — not simply someone who knows how to use design software.
