Internal Audit and Quality Assurance Officer

 Purpose of the role:

The Internal Audit and Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for ensuring the integrity, effectiveness, and continuous improvement of the company’s operational systems, internal control environment, and quality management system (QMS)

The role supports management through ensuring that:

• Operational processes are followed consistently
• Internal controls protect company resources
• The system constraint is protected
• The company maintains stable flow through the production system
• Continuous improvement is supported through structured feedback and root cause analysis

Line of reporting:

Head of equality

Core role philosophy:

In a TOC-driven manufacturing business, system discipline protects flow.

This role ensures that:

• Processes are followed
• Controls are functioning effectively
• Operational decisions support throughput

The objective is not policing people but protecting the system that enables the business to perform reliably.

Qualifications and experience

Minimum qualifications
Diploma or degree in one of the following areas:

• Accounting
• Internal auditing
• Quality management
• Business management
• Industrial engineering

Experience
3 – 5 years’ experience in one of the following areas:

• Internal auditing
• Quality assurance
• Process auditing
• Manufacturing environment

Knowledge:
Strong understanding of:

• Internal control frameworks
• Quality management systems
• Process documentation
• Risk management
• Manufacturing operations
• Experience in a ‘Process-driven Manufacturing Environment’ will be advantageous.
