Skin Renewal has marked a major milestone with the opening of Skin Renewal Big Bay, its 21st clinic, in the same year the brand celebrates 21 years of transforming skin and confidence.
A new chapter in Big Bay
Skin Renewal Big Bay has officially opened at Seaside Village, on the corner of Otto Du Plessis Drive and Cormorant Avenue in Cape Town. The clinic brings the group’s doctor led approach to aesthetic medicine, skin health and wellness to the West Coast, with trading hours from Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6pm, and Saturdays from 8am to 3pm.
The launch was celebrated with the Skin Renewal community, and the brand’s social media pages captured the excitement of the occasion. Skin Renewal had celebrated the launch of Big Bay, its 21st branch, with wonderful company and plenty of celebration, while a radio personality, Angel Campey from Smile FM joined in the festivities. The new branch has also been active in its neighbourhood, sharing invitations and engaging with the Big Bay community ahead of and during the opening.
Twenty one years, twenty one clinics
The opening carries particular significance because it aligns with Skin Renewal’s 21st anniversary. The company describes 2026 as a year of looking ahead, noting that the launch of its 21st clinic forms part of a broader milestone that also includes the introduction of its doctor developed, multifunction and proudly South African Skin Renewal Skincare Range.
Founded in 2005 by Dr Maureen Allem, Skin Renewal began as a single home practice and has grown into a national network of 21 clinics. The group has delivered more than eight million treatments and continues to combine advanced medical science with a holistic, whole person approach to beauty and wellness.
Dr Allem, Skin Renewal’s co-founder and medical director, is driven by a passion to help people look and feel their best. Co-founder and CEO, Victor Snyders, an architect by profession, brought entrepreneurial vision and a people first philosophy to the business. Together, they have built a brand that has become one of South Africa’s most trusted names in aesthetic medicine, growing from modest beginnings into a nationally recognised clinic network.
Interiors designed for transformation
The Big Bay clinic also reflects the considered design language for which Skin Renewal has become known. House and Garden has previously described the clinics as serene extensions of the brand’s ethos, with a consistent palette, tactile materials and evocative scents creating an enveloping sense of calm. Subtle references to local design and architecture ensure that each clinic retains its own character.
Dr Allem has said that the spaces are intended to reflect both care and beauty, explaining that walking into a Skin Renewal clinic is the beginning of a journey of transformation. That philosophy is especially fitting for Big Bay, where the coastal setting and relaxed lifestyle provide a natural backdrop for a clinic focused on renewal, confidence and long term skin health.
Serving the West Coast
Skin Renewal Big Bay strengthens the group’s presence in the Western Cape, joining existing Cape Town and Winelands locations while extending access to advanced, non-surgical skin, body and health solutions for residents of Big Bay and the surrounding West Coast.
As Skin Renewal enters its next 21 years, the opening of Big Bay is both a celebration of how far the brand has come and a signal of its continued growth. With its 21st clinic now open, the company is positioning itself for an even brighter future, built on clinical expertise, personalised care and spaces designed to make every patient feel genuinely cared for.
