Brand collaborations are nothing new, but the latest crossover between food and fashion is taking a distinctly South African turn. Roman’s Pizza is moving beyond the takeaway box with a streetwear collection that puts its familiar visual identity onto everyday wardrobe staples.
Roman’s Pizza is getting into the fashion game with the launch of RP Knead, a limited-edition streetwear label that takes inspiration from the pizza brand’s visual history and South African culture.
The first drop, released on 21 October, features oversized T-shirts and hoodies with hand-drawn graphics inspired by Roman’s Pizza, including its Running Man delivery driver, Stack A Friend pizza boxes and the Romaneer DJ.
The label’s tagline? “Not merch. A movement.”
Pizza-inspired streetwear, made locally
Created by Roman’s Pizza Head of Studio Jarred Wade and the in-house design team, the collection pairs familiar brand references with a streetwear-focused palette of Roman’s blue and red, navy and burgundy.
The debut range includes:
- Oversized T-shirts – R399
- Hoodies – R899
- Corduroy caps – R199, expected in mid-November
The T-shirts and hoodies are made in Cape Town by apparel partner Soli, working with artisans from a Bo-Kaap studio and using locally sourced fabrics. The upcoming caps are also sourced through Soli, but made in France.

RP Knead is taking a limited-drop approach: the first collection will not be restocked, and future releases will feature entirely new designs rather than bringing back the debut pieces.
The idea is to make the label a fashion proposition in its own right, rather than simply branded merchandise. As Roman’s Pizza explains, the focus is on clothing people would choose for its design, fit and quality, not just the logo.
RP Knead is available exclusively online, with courier delivery nationwide.
