Shiprazor is adding parcel locker collection to its shipping platform through an integration with The Courier Guy, giving participating merchants another way to fulfil online orders without building a separate courier integration.
The integration allows merchants to offer locker collection alongside door-to-door delivery through Shiprazor’s existing platform. Customers can select a locker as their collection point, providing an alternative for those who cannot be home when a parcel arrives.
With Black Friday approaching, it gives participating retailers another collection option to offer during a period when online order volumes and delivery coordination can place pressure on fulfilment operations.
Addressing missed deliveries
During peak retail periods, coordinating multiple deliveries can create additional pressure for both customers and retailers. Missed deliveries may require another delivery attempt, additional administration and follow-up with customers.
Sahil Affriya, founder and CEO of Shiprazor, says adding locker collection gives merchants another fulfilment option through the platform they already use, without requiring a separate integration.
The service also gives retailers more flexibility in how orders reach customers, while allowing door-to-door delivery to remain available for those who prefer it.
How locker collection works
Customers select a locker location at checkout or choose it as their collection point. Once the parcel arrives, they receive a notification containing a secure collection PIN or QR code.
Customers then have three days to collect their parcel, subject to the locker location’s operating hours and access restrictions.
Samantha Swanepoel, chief marketing officer at The Courier Guy, says the network gives customers the option to collect parcels at a location that fits around their work and other commitments.
More fulfilment options for online retailers
The integration adds to the delivery choices available to merchants using Shiprazor, a South African logistics management platform that connects e-commerce businesses with multiple courier partners.
The Courier Guy says its network handles more than 28 million parcels annually and includes more than 2,500 lockers, over 222 kiosks and 600-plus collection points in partner stores.
