'Tis the season to be marketing

As marketing for the festive season gears up, what are you doing to get your products noticed by consumers? Shopper marketer, Jason Frichol, along with Pierre Le Grange, tells us we have half a second to catch the attention of shoppers, and less than three seconds to get your message across. It's time to design for shoppers... and leave the message for last.

The recent increase in mall robberies has left many a shopper wary... And probably more so with all the impending silly season shopping that needs to be done. So here are a few safety tips to keep in mind, for a little peace of mind...

More reports from the recent CGCSA Summit by Danette Breitenbach include a drive through the intersection between online and offline retail, and a few things to consider when approaching the African retail market.

Leigh Andrews provides some insight into the average SA mobile phone user from the Market Research in the Mobile World conference, as well as puts the spotlight on mobile market research.

Finally, a big congratulations goes out to Jean-Christophe Garbino, who has been named successor to Truworths' CEO, Michael Mark.
