Info' overload with the world's best in design For those attending Design Indaba, it's like standing under a waterfall of ideas and creativity by the world's best - so it's not surprising that towards the end of the event, some delegates are perhaps beginning to suffer from an information overload and can be forgiven for having the odd 'black space' or two in their memory of the final day, writes Herman Manson. On the Press Council front, Julie Reid, writing in The Daily Maverick argues for a simpler, more comprehensive procedure to make it possible for the man in the street to lay a complaint about a news report even if the individual himself or herself is not directly aggrieved by the report. Last, but not least, Issa Sikiti da Silva reports on how the Department of Communications (DoC), described by critics as 'sluggish', 'dysfunctional' and 'in disarray' under the regime of former minister Siphiwe Nyanda, is on its way to recovery - and not before time, either. PS The latest Ornico Ad Showcase features TV ads for Bokomo Weet-Bix, Jeep, LG Infinia, Vodacom and Lays, and radio ads for Visa, City of Joburg, Dairybell, Revite and vodacom.
