Establish corporate Learning and Development strategies, policies, principles and procedures for learning.
Support organisational change through training.
Plan departmental/functional training budgets, forecast costs and delegate numbers as required.
Experience in dealing with statutory training requirements and SETA's.
Experience with legislation related to the ETD environment.
Liaise and co-operate with relevant management standards bodies.
Manage directly reporting staff according to company standards, recruiting, development, training and discipline.
Training needs analysis - Identifies training gaps and recommends solutions to close these training requirements.
Facilitate training and staff development programs.
Train instructors and supervisors in techniques and skills for training and dealing with employees.
Aligning and sequencing assessment and moderation processes to ensure quality assessment and "sign-off" and Portfolio of Evidence is available for training completed.
Review of course content for updates/amendments to all impacted/affected courses, workshops and curriculum/s.
Compile and submit the annual Work Place Skill plan, Annual Training Report.
Review and monitor training outcomes.
Validate consistency and validity of assessment practices and processes.
Ensure reliability of assessment methodology (outcomes matches course/workshop training objectives and assessment method is aligned to desired outcomes).
Development of a strategic plan for the training unit.
Developing course manuals, and managing and updating course material.
Coordinating trainers, training operations and course calendars.
