I started my work history working as a Executive Secretary to a firm called Alex Murray. I worked there for a few years and studied at night to become a teacher. Once completing my Early Childhood Teaching Diploma, I went overseas and worked at a few Montessori Pre-Schools where I gained experience in teaching children.
I came home to South Africa when I got married and began to work at a school as a teacher for three years. I then started a school in Somerset West which I ran for 8 years. I had the opportunity to sell my school to Newberry House (on Lourensford Wine Estate) and ran the Pre-School division of the school for a number years under their name.
While working as the Principal of the Pre-School, I continued to study and gained my Montessori Teaching Diploma's in 6-9years and 9-12years. I went on and did Management and Assessor Training. I began to lecture students in the evening who were training to become teachers.
I really enjoyed engaging with children in the day and then adults in the evening.
In 2015 I had my third child, and decided to take a sabatical and be at home for two years for all of my children. I enrolled at UNISA at the same time, and am currently doing my Bachelor of Edcuation Foundation Phase Degree.
