His working career included spells at The Urban Foundation, Stocks & Stocks and the Linton and Bestcape Groups of companies. He served as a trustee of the Endangered Wildlife Trust for a number of years and as Chairperson of the Melkbosstrand Ratepayers' Association, Community Police Forum and Neighbourhood Watch.
"Business writing demands attention to detail and meticulous craftmanship to get the message across - accurately and succinctly - whilst taking into account that you are dealing with people with feelings," says John. "It is a skill that I have developed the hard way, but once mastered it leads to success. By mentoring others I have found a fulfilling way of sharing my knowledge."
