×Show profile Hide profileAfter receiving both an MA and HED in 1987 from the University of Stellenbosch, Ettie joined Stellenberg High School where she taught both Afrikaans HL and English FAL for 3 years. From January 1991 she worked first as editor and then as publisher at Tafelberg Publishers until starting a family in 1997. Since 2002 Ettie has worked in the Educational Publishing industry as editor, writer, translator, proofreader, trainer, co-ordinator and manager at Pearson Education SA, and as lexicographer at Pharos Dictionaries. Having studied the CAPS curricula for the past few years, Ettie is keen to return to the class room to put her knowledge and experience into practice. In 2015 Ettie acted as a facilitator for 2 young men high on the autistic spectrum, assisting them through their Matric year at a special needs school.
