Show profile Hide profileThe desire to influence others, deliver impact and provide inspiration, especially for women in leadership roles, has seen Divinia progress as a trainer and entrepreneur in the industry.
Beginning her career in the BPO industry as an outbound sales consultant for O'Keeffe & Swartz Consultants in March 2003, Divinia's main role was to initiate and conclude the sale of a range of insurance and financial products on behalf of affinity lists. Despite later pursuing a career in training, she wanted to gain a thorough understanding of the role of outbound sales consultants and experience what it was like to encounter rejection over the telephone as well as handling objections and closing sales. This first-hand experience did more than put her theoretical knowledge into practice, but became instrumental in shaping her approach to training and credibility as a sales facilitator. Divinia was one of O'Keeffe & Swartz's top executive sales consultants for a period of 14 months.
After establishing her personal profile as an executive Outbound Sales Consultant, Divinia progressed as a sales trainer for the organization. Her primary role involved facilitating sales techniques to learners of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds, changing the lives of her learners both financially and socially.
In 2009, Divinia expanded her repertoire to include the development of the O'Keeffe & Swartz sales management team as well as an internal leadership development programme. Her primary focus was to conduct high-performance coaching, technical and soft skills training to assist sales managers to build their capabilities, tackle new challenges and reach their peak performance.
Divinia has gained some incredible awards. In 2009, Divinia won the Gauteng Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) In-house Trainer of the Year. Later that year she became the South African National Winner for the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) In-house Trainer of the Year award.
Divinia has benchmarked herself on an international level as well. In June 2010, she presented at the Top Ranking Performers in the Contact Center World Conference in London and in November of that same year progressed to present at the Top Ranking Performers in the Contact Center World Conference in Las Vegas.
She was ranked as the Best Trainer in Europe, Middle East & Africa Region for the 2010 Top Ranking Performers in the Contact Center World and is currently ranked 2nd in the world for the Best Contact Center Trainer.
Divinia's versatility and experience combined with her commitment, dedication and passion for creating empowering learning environments led to the creation of Savant People Development in 2011. Divinia acts as owner and Chief Executive Officer.
She focuses on the use of experiential learning methods throughout her training interventions ensuring that her learners actively participate in the learning process as opposed to being passive recipients.
Ambitious, approachable, organized, patient, empathetic, intuitive and decisive are just a few character traits that epitomize Divinia. Her good business ethics, which are based on strong morals and values, has definitely been a contributor towards her success.
