protel by Ankerdata appoints director of operations

Eben Marais, the current national operations manager, hospitality, of Ankerdata will take on the role of director of operations for the group. The position will involve taking over the day to day running of the business dealing directly with new and existing clients on a one to one basis to ensure smooth transitions into the protel fold, ensuring professional backup service and speedy resolutions, and as well as crisis management.

His career began as a trainee manager at the school assisting with the first years, and after a brief stint in the family construction business decided hospitality was where his interests lay. He oversaw events and was duty manager at Devonvale Golf and Wine Estate, and found himself at Ankerdata a year later as a software consultant with quick promotions to sales manager and now national operations manager.
