Onke Mjo appointed general manager of the Johannesburg Convention Bureau

In a concerted effort to further promote and grow business tourism in Jo'burg, The Johannesburg Tourism Company (JTC) has appointed Onke Mjo, General Manager of the Johannesburg Convention Bureau, a unit of the JTC.

Mjo, who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Movement Sciences and Honours in Exercise Science as well as a Higher Diploma in Education from the University of Durban Westville, comes to the JTC, from the South African Sport Confederation and Olympic Committee where she was the GM: General Operations & National Federations Support. Prior to that she spent five years at the Tourism, Hospitality and Sport SETA, where she was responsible for the coordination and implementation of skills development across the hospitality, tourism and sport sector.
