Erik van Wyk signs to Harry Nash in London
Creative-turned director, Erik van Wyk, has signed to Harry Nash for worldwide representation and will be relocating to London.
Van Wyk built his career in South Africa. In 1999 he quit his copywriting job at Hunt Lascaris TBWA in Johannesburg and joined Velocity Films as a director. He has shot several very memorable ads, such as the Drive Alive Seatbelt ad and BMW's Psychic ad that got shown extensively in the UK. This year he was featured in the Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors Showcase for the Haircut ad done for Virgin Atlantic.
While Van Wyk has signed to Harry Nash for international representation, he will be staying with Velocity Films for South Africa. Currently he is filming the final script in South Africa and will be shooting through Harry Nash from the middle of August.
