Financial Journalist of the Year joins Spin Media

Award-winning journalist Itumeleng Mahabane has joined Spin Media (Pty) Ltd as Executive Director responsible for Investor Relations.

Mahabane, former managing editor of the Financial Mail, won the Sanlam Financial Journalist of the Year award in 2004 and the Bessie Head Fellowship in 2002.

"We're delighted to welcome Itumeleng on board, and see him playing a crucial role in helping to communicate the transformation of the South African economy," Spin Media founding partners Gugu Msibi and Chris Vick said.

Mahabane said: "I've written about empowerment for a number of years and I know business has accepted the challenge of our political economy.
