Neo Dongwana becomes Barloworld's first chairwoman
Neo Dongwana has been appointed as an independent chairperson of the board of directors of Barloworld, making her the first woman to chair the board in the company's 118 years of existence.
Dongwana's appointment comes after an endorsement by shareholders at the company's Annual General Meeting (AGM). She has served on the Barloworld board since May 2012.
She currently serves as a non-executive director of Mpact and Nedbank and worked as an equity analyst at Gensec Asset Management.
