Danie Smit is Radisson Blu Hotel and Residence, Cape Town's new GM
The Radisson Blu Hotel and Residence, Cape Town has appointed Danie Smit as its new general manager. As GM, he will be responsible for all aspects of operations at the hotel, including financial performance, employee and guest engagement, community relationships, partnerships and talent development.
Smit started his hospitality career in 1989 at "Die Herberg" in Bloemfontein, at Southern Sun and City Lodge in junior positions. His career path as GM commenced at Villa Via Pretoria, followed by Don Group, City Lodge, Southern Sun and Protea Hotels as well as an asset manager role with Hospitality Property Fund.
His last role, prior to joining The Radisson Blu Hotel and Residence, was as GM at Protea Hotel by Marriott Cape Town Victoria Junction.
