Shoprite Group's buying division gets two new appointees

The Shoprite Group recently made two new additions to its buying division. Charles Ochse has been named as the retailer's new chief foods buyer, while Phillip Nhlanhla has been appointed as its new divisional head buyer.

Ochse joined Checkers in 1990 as a trainee manager and served as admin manager, fresh foods manager, sales manager, branch manager, and trainee buyer. Nhlanhla holds a BCom from Vista University (now the Vaal University of Technology) and joined the group in 2005 as a trainee manager; he held various roles in the supermarket's division before joining the food buying division in 2010.
