    Opportunity for sponsored learnership in broadcast engineering

    NEMISA with MAPPP SETA is offering 20 learners the opportunity to undertake a funded 12 month learnership in Johannesburg starting January 2007.

    We are seeking learners with a passion for the technical side of broadcast.

  • Applicants are invited who have completed S3 or S4 at a recognized technikon.
  • We welcome lesser-qualified applicants who demonstrate a serious passion for involvement in a technical broadcasting environment.

    Minimum selection criteria:

    Matric - Maths, Science and English HG. The 20 successful candidates will demonstrate a passion for involvement in a technical media environment.

    What is the Learnership about?

    This broadcast engineering learnership includes both theoretical and practical training in radio and television studio engineering, broadcast distribution and broadcast contribution covering television transmitters, microwave links and satellite broadcasting.

    Duration?

    The course is expected to last a period of 12 months January 2007 until December 2007.

    Cost?

    The course is fully sponsored for 20 candidates by MAPPP SETA.

    The MAPPP-SETA, in partnership with The National Electronic Media Institute of South Africa (NEMISA) will be offering a 12-month broadcast engineering learnership commencing in January 2007.
