Support needed for child-headed households in Alexandra

Our goal is to go beyond food parcels and to mentor and form relationships with these kids.

We are planning camps where they will be taught life skills, and meet their heroes on television, radio and in sport. We are planning to also involve the movers and shakers in business or other people who are making it and who can inspire these children. We want to get to know them individually, know their personal situations and get involved in their lives. We are planning to start a trust fund for their tertiary education, in that way they’ll be encouraged to stay in school knowing that there’s hope for their future.

The event will incorporate a fashion show and music from one of South Africa's finest jazz artists.
