Graphic Designer

R&A Strategic Communications is looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our Johannesburg-based team of communications professionals. R&A invites individuals with full university qualifications (minimum of a 3-year graphic design degree), and 4-7 years of working experience in the creative industry, to apply to be part of our creative team.

R&A is a strategic communications agency niched in the natural resources sector – predominantly in mining. Over the past 21 years, we have grown into a leading southern African consultancy.
R&A offers the opportunity to be exposed to a wide range of design disciplines while working closely with seasoned professionals, across a broad range of clients.

• Internal and external corporate communication
• Integrated reporting
• Corporate publications
• Corporate branding
• Storyboarding
• Social media
• Presentations
• Print and digital design

Our ideal candidate must be able to:

• Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Communicate effectively and have strong written and verbal communication skills
• Create and deliver high-quality designed communication material that demonstrates creativity with attention to detail
• Work under pressure, deal with stressful/high-stake situations
• Continuously grow and develop new skills
• Operate autonomously but still work within a team
• Minimum of 3-year national qualification in graphic design
• 4-7 years of experience of working in the design industry
• Excellent skills and knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator), and Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
• Experience with publication design will be very beneficial
• Experience with Workiva Wdesk will be very beneficial
• AI related knowledge will be very beneficial
• Ability to work in a hybrid office/home environment
• Drivers licence
• Enthusiasm and a sense of humour
