Cape audience captivated by experts

'Closing the business-IT divide' was the theme of a panel discussion that was held in Cape Town recently. The business community were led by seasoned business IT leaders who explored the strategic business technology leadership roles in SMEs.

Mark Geschke, CEO of the digital transformation company Xuviate, says the event generated a lot of interest. "Creating a common understanding, we believe, is the first step our industry needs to take to truly transform from technology management to business technology management."

The panel shared their experiences and answered questions relating to their roles in defining the four value propositions of IT. They explained why different leaders are needed and why all business IT leaders have to work together to make IT part of the fabric of the future business.
