Mauritius comes out tops at WTA Africa and the Indian Ocean
Mauritius received three accolades at the 2018 World Travel Awards (WTA) - Africa and the Indian Ocean. The winners of the awards were recently announced at the Durban International Convention Centre.
The Indian Ocean island was recognised as the Leading Honeymoon Destination, the Leading Cruise Destination, and the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) was named the Leading Tourist Board. Every year, the WTA travels the globe with a series of regional gala ceremonies to recognise individual and collective success within each key geographical region.
Air Mauritius was also honoured at the event, taking home five WTA trophies for the region.
