KWV has helped boost the education of learners in farming communities this past Mandela Day by providing learners with information to make responsible and informed career decisions.

To do their bit for Nelson Mandela Day, members of staff at Diageo SA dedicated their 67 minutes to build houses with Habitat for Humanity in Orange Farm and feeding the less fortunate with Meals on Wheels at the Thabo Mbeki settlement in Johannesburg. Diageo SA staff members use the funds that they collect in their VEO Community Fund, an employee-led charitable initiative that is funded by their personal contributions from their monthly salaries and matched by the company, to assist in similar activities throughout the year....

Port employees of Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) has partaken in giving back this past Mandela Day by doing various activities at institutions across the country.

The sixth annual 5 for Change Charity Fundraiser was held at the Cape Town City Hall on 15 July 2017.

To honour the legacy of former President Nelson Mandela, the Green Building Council of South Africa (GBCSA) spent its 67 minutes on Mandela Day with underprivileged and displaced children and families in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Secondary school Mandisa Shiceka in Kagiso has had an improvement in their results after an introduction of the Columba Leadership programme.

McCain Food South Africa dedicated its 67 minutes for Mandela Day to planting vegetable gardens at the Johannesburg Children's Home and the St Francis Care Centre.

The Knysna fires, which began raging on 7 June 2017, saw families left destitute. Through a joint partnership between DHL Supply Chain, DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Express, 15 superlink trucks became available to transport stock, which included blankets and other items donated from various corners of the country, from Gauteng to both Knysna and Cape Town.
