Workshop to cover writers' copyright and ownership

The greatest concern most writers have is that their ideas or stories may be hijacked. The 'Own Your Story' workshop, being held in Cape Town on 12 December 2015, turns the ABC of copyright and ownership inside out.
Workshop to cover writers' copyright and ownership

The Writing Studio's workshop takes writers through the process of owning their story, characters and plot and takes place at the Artscape Resource Centre from noon until 4pm. The workshop looks at what it takes to control the creative process and have full authority over protecting your idea and story.

It also looks at how to govern the characters in your story, and master the art of plotting the line of dramatic action effectively. Own Your Story allows you to sell your story and yourself as a writer with confidence and clarity.

Daniel Dercksen, who is a published film and theatre journalist of 30 years, as well as a playwright and screenwriter who has been teaching workshops in writing throughout South Africa the past 19 years, presents the workshop.
