Simon Mabhunu Sabela Awards: Winners announced

Amongst those in attendance were the representatives from the Brics countries, local and International delegates of the acclaimed Durban International Film Festival and the Durban Film Mart, crème de la crème of the local film and television Industry, officials from other provinces and the general public.

Says CEO Carol Coetzee:

“As the KZN Film Commission, we are truly humbled by how the winners of these awards have transcended over the years and would like to congratulate all the 2018 winners for all their contribution to growing the KZN film industry. If this evening is anything to go by, then I believe the best is yet to come. I would like to express our sincerest gratitude to all our partners for their continued support, especially a reputable brand such as Lux, which demonstrates the recognition of the value of the industry and this event. We look forward to another exciting instalment in 2019, with a new addition in our list of categories, namely Nature, Environment and Wildlife which is steadily growing and will be ready to compete next year with great content being produced by our local filmmakers.”
