Expo Solutions appoint new head for Eastern Cape
Stewart already had a well-established relationship with the company through its partnership with his company, PeriExpo, on projects such as the 2011 ENT Conference at Feathermarket Hall. With his strong background in the sales environment, Stewart is said to be ready to seize the growing potential in the Eastern Cape exhibitions and events environment.
"Infrastructure and expertise"
"The Eastern Cape is becoming an increasingly popular events and exhibitions destination boosted by government investment in the business tourism market," Stewart says. "East London recently opened its own exhibition centre, and the Board Walk Casino in Port Elizabeth has added an exhibition venue to its premises. The stadium built for the FIFA 2010 Soccer World Cup is also a great event venue and there are several other smaller destinations that will be able to produce excellent offerings with the help of the company's infrastructure and expertise.
"Being involved in the exhibitions industry since 1999 and having interacted with many of the leading players in the industry, I value the company's approach to business - to their staff and their customers. Its record of accomplishment of satisfied clients speaks volumes. I am thrilled to be an integral part of the team."
Core business
Craig McDonald, MD of Expo Solutions, points out that the company's core business is to provide the structural assets and logistics expertise that create the backdrops for exceptional event experiences.
"We have built up an asset base that is sufficient to support simultaneous exhibitions at the country's leading venues, with a commitment to have our infrastructure stored locally. This means that our customers are not faced with the transport costs incurred by moving infrastructure around the country for each event. This, combined with the recognised experience of our teams in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and now Port Elizabeth, allows us to collaborate with our clients."
