The cream of South Africa's newspaper journalism in the nine categories will be awarded R10 000 cash, a golden Mondi Shanduka Nib trophy and a framed certificate at the awards ceremony on 5 April 2006.
Categories include: Breaking News; Analysis, Follow-ups and Commentary; Feature Writing; Investigative Journalism; Creative Journalism; Graphical Journalism; News Photographs; Feature Photographs and Presentation (Layout and Design).
The Newspaper Association of South Africa (NASA) and Mondi Shanduka Newsprint are also calling for nominations for the Mondi Shanduka Lifetime Achiever Award to honour individuals who have made a significant contribution to furthering the interests of newspaper journalism in South Africa over a career of at least 20 years.
Closing date for entries is 10 February 2006, but don't leave it until the eleventh hour and miss out!
