Calls to entries for financial advertising awards

Entries for the 2006 Business Day Financial Advertising Awards, which offers financial advertisers an opportunity to showcase their work, opened last week. The deadline for submissions is 26 September 2006 and the awards ceremony will be held on 19 October.

According to Peter Bruce, editor of Business Day, "Financial advertising is responsible for a significant part of Business Days advertising revenue - we consider this to be an important industry and certainly one that we want to see grow. We also want to encourage growth in the creative executions of this communication."

The awards -- currently in its sixteenth year -- recognise the achievements of the financial advertising industry, as well as agencies and clients who have gone the extra mile when reporting their results and meeting the many other JSE regulatory requirements.

One of the requirements for submission is that material must be submitted physically, mounted according to the actual size that it appeared in the newspaper, to Valerie Naidoo at Business Day, Johnnic Communications, third floor, 4 Biermann Ave, Rosebank, Johannesburg.
