The Pavilion achieved a turnover increase of 21,4%, one of its highest monthly turnover growths ever shown. The centre showed a 5,4% increase in foot traffic from last December with a whopping 123 687 people visiting the centre on 23 December.
Another interesting growth in turnover was in the quarter leading up to Christmas (October - December 2005) which increased by 19.2%, "an indication that spending began earlier this year," says Pavilion Centre Manager, Preston Gaddy.
The Pavilion's Top 10 performer's included Edgars, Checkers Hyper, Game, Woolworths, Pick n Pay, Truworths, Toys R Us, Mr Price, Clicks and The Hub Trading Company. These stores contributed to 53% of The Pavilion's overall turnover in December 2005.
