Not so fine at Telkom
NEWSWATCH: It had to happen... Telkom has been fined R449m for abusing its dominance in the telecoms market, reports Mail & Guardian, which also reports that Communications Minister Dina Pule has been accused on nepotism. The M&G report says it's alleged that "Pule, alongside her alleged "romantic" interest, businessperson Phosane Mngqibisa, has connived to fill key positions in the department, the Post Office and the SABC through nepotism and the promotion of close colleagues".

- Mail & Guardian: Minister Dina Pule accused of nepotism... Some people believe that love doesn't mean never having to say you're sorry. Instead, they seem to reckon it actually means putting mates and family where they can do you the most good - "pule-ing" resources, so to speak. In Pule's case that means if the allegations are found to be true, then she's done something that many people find little short of disgraceful.Naturally, the allegations are most likely to be denied, but if, as we say, they are found to be true, some people might suggest the minister try to "pule" the other one... and "dina" do that again!
