Kenya's Jua Cali, Tanzania's Banana Zorro and Uganda's Peter Miles, will be making public appearances, meeting their fans and signing autographs at key Motorola outlets in the coming weeks.

The three artists will be out and about with Motorola, in their home countries, on Saturday June 30. Tanzanians can look forward to seeing Banana Zoro at the Saba Show at 6pm. Ugandans can meet Peter Miles at Cell2Cell in Kla Road from 11am and Kenya's Jua Cali will visit Fones Xpress at Lifestyle also from 11am.

“Motorola's W series features the W220, W375, W209 and W208. Each offers crystal clear FM radio functionality, excellent battery life and comes wrapped in a stylish and sleek design,” said Nikesh Patel, Sales Director for Sub Sahara, Central and South Africa. “Our handsets are true winners and we are thrilled that local achievers, like Jua, Banana and Peter, will be sharing the introduction of these phones with their fans.”

The W series handsets offer up to 7 hours of talk time, so fans can share with their friends every detail of their meeting with their favourite stars without having to rush. The built-in FM radio means updates on the star's appearances are always at hand and the simple and fast SMS functionality means you can spread the word, quickly and easily.

Selections of the artists' music can be downloaded to handsets by customers during special in store events.

Fans should stay tuned to their local radio stations for more updates on the whereabouts of the Motorola stars. The campaign will run for six months and will promote the phones, along with the artists, through local radio, print and outdoor advertising.
