The bubbly Renee Nicolai, owner and stylist of Plumstead salon, Gentle Approach, is one of these crusaders. She has built up a word-of-mouth reputation and happy returning clientele with her use of natural hair products; Natualmente and her caring and expert touch.
I visited Gentle Approach last Friday afternoon for highlights and a trim. As she works from home the set-up and salon environment is fairly relaxed and informal. Much banter between her and her clients; offers of champagne, as well as the visit of her cute daughter all took place while I was there. It was obvious that she really cares about her clients and takes interest in their lives as well as their hair, easy to see why she has such a strong returning fan base.
This caring ethos is best illustrated in Renee's exclusive use of the Natualmente products, which are free of petrochemical by-products and synthetic substances, and are not tested on animals. She was one of the first stockists and has been using these products for six years now and swears by them.
Renee did a wonderful job; natural and even-looking honey blonde highlights and trim did well to perk up my hair.
