Looking for Mr/Ms Good Hope
"We are continually on the lookout to discover young fresh talent that aspires to be in the broadcasting industry and who can add to our already dynamic line-up,” says programme manager Gerard Muller. “Many of our well established DJs like Nigel Pierce, Suga, Guy McDonald and Sean O cut their broadcasting teeth on campus radio. Hosting the DJ search will be a great opportunity and fun way to find hidden talent."
Judges
The panel of judges will include Gerard Muller (programme manager), Kurt Meyer (programming), Grant Lesch (programming), Nigel Pierce (presenter), Ready D (presenter) and Natano Brache (station manager).
The judges will visit the five campuses, select a finalist from each, who will get the opportunity to co-host a show with Ebrahiem Inglis. The judges will then select one winner who will win a contract to host his/her own show on the station and be an on-air DJ at for a year.

- 15 February 2010 - CPUT Cape Town (the Piazza)
- 16 & 17 February 2010 - UCT (Food Court in Steve Biko building)
- 18 & 19 February 2010 - CPUT Bellville
- 22 February 2010 - CPUT Cape Town (the Piazza)
- 23 & 24 February 2010 - University Stellenbosch (Neelsie Food Arena)
- 25 & 26 February 2010 - UWC (Student Centre)
Entry criteria
Entrants must be a student registered at the relevant tertiary institution and have or be:
- Broad general knowledge;
- Radio-friendly voice;
- Articulate and good communicator;
- Sense a humour;
- Entertaining to listen to;
- Able to take a stand, have a personal opinion and be able to defend/share their own views;
- Available to co-host a show during the final leg of the competition in order to be considered as a winner;
- Willing to be used in any publicity opportunities for the radio station and this competition.
