    2009 MPowerFM Vodacom Top Jock announced

    Last week, the final votes made Mark Mountjoy, 27, from Nelspruit the Vodacom MPowerFM Top Jock for 2009. He will be on air on Sundays between 12 noon and 3pm and will join last year's Top Jock winner Miguel Proenca on the Top 40 on Saturday mornings from 9am until 12 noon.

    “The task and journey that lies ahead is exciting and at the same time overwhelming. I'm sure I will still wake up from this dream, for it is really a dream come true for me,” said Mountjoy, who works as a financial advisor for Sigma Bluestar in Nelspruit. He won a R5000 gift card from Vodacom and a one-year contract from MPowerFM.

    The competition attracted 5000 votes. The final votes were counted on Wednesday, 2 September 2009.
